So far for the 2025-2026 cycle I've raised a stunning 4.8x as much for Democrats as I had at the same point 4 years ago...and even 3x as much as I had at this point 2 years ago!
In September 2025 specifically, I raised a whopping 10.4x as much as September 2021 and 3.9x as much as September 2023 (remember, that was a POTUS cycle).
In terms of category breakout, so far this cycle I've raised:
- U.S. Senate: $27,955 (6.1%)
- U.S. House: $116,464 (25.2%)
- State Legislative: $232,214 (50.3%)
- Govs/AGs/SoS: $9,743 (2.1%)
- Courts: $31,914 (6.9%)
- State Dem Parties: $31,139 (6.7%)
- Local/Other: $12,435 (2.7%)
Besides the normal ramping up as we approach Election Day 2025 that you'd normally expect, by far the biggest boost in September came from launching the strategic "Virginia Value Pack" page of Democrats running in deep red districts in late August. This page alone has generated nearly $120,000 for state legislative Dems, $114,000 of which was raised in September...nearly 60% of the total for the month.
As for social media engagement, Twitter continued to get its ass kicked in September both in click-thrus per follower (Bluesky racked up 3.3x as many, and even Threads somehow won the month) as well as actual donations per follower (Bluesky generated a whopping 8.5x as much as Twitter last month).
For the cycle so far, BlueSky has generated 4.8x as many clickthrus and 2.5x as much raised as Twitter on a per follower basis:
