The first half of the 2026 Election Cycle is now behind us. Now we're into the main event.
As of New Year's Eve 2025, I've raised 4.2x as much for Democrats as I had at the same point 4 years ago...and 2.4x as much as I had at this point 2 years ago!
In December 2025 specifically, I raised 3.6x as much as December 2021 and 41% more than December 2023 (which was during a POTUS cycle).
In terms of category breakout, so far this cycle I've raised:
- U.S. Senate: $36,543 (6.4%)
- U.S. House: $128,111 (22.4%)
- State Legislative: $291,327 (50.9%)
- State Executives*: $25,276 (4.4%)
- Courts: $42,110 (7.4%)
- State Dem Parties: $45,636 (8.0%)
- Local/Other: $3,014 (0.5%)
*NOTE: State Executives includes Governors, Lt. Governors, Attorneys General & Secretaries of State as well as other state executive office such as Treasurers, Auditors, Comptrollers, Public Service Commissioners, School Boards, etc.
As expected, the pace dropped off substantially after the November 2025 general election, but picked up again at the tail end of the year.
I expect things to ramp up quickly now that we're over the hump and into the actual Midterm Year itself.

As for social media engagement, for the full year, Bluesky generated 4.4x as much traffic and 2.8x as much in actual donations as Twitter. Mastodon, Spoutible & Threads also generated higher engagement than Twitter.
